How 'The Media Circus' Was Put Together

Pre-Production

1. Read the Brief. This also tells you the format of the TV Quiz Show.
2. Create the Questions and find the answers for all the rounds.
3. Make VT Inserts, and store onto 1 DVD.
4. Design the set, and do many set drawings to show the class. The set must allow enough camera shot sizes.

Technical

5. Plan where the set will go, again making sure the camera can get various shot sizes. The Director will plan out camera positions and the shot sizes.
6. Floor Plan is then drawn.
7. Lighting plot designed.
8. Lights are rigged, as how the lighting plot is drawn.
9. Set is all done and in the studio.
10. Lights are 'pointed' in the right direction. 'Pointing' at the right Talent.
11.Mics rigged.
12. Technical Checks.

In Rehearsals

13. Talent arrives at the studio.
14. Mics are turned on and clipped to the Talent.
15. Mic Checks
16. Camera Shots checked by the Director.
17. Rehearsal Opening: The Countdown by F.M
18. Stop/Start Rehearsals, keep going to a problem occurs.
19. Rehearsal closing

After Rehearsal

22. Equipment put away
